  1. My favorite activity was the identify the stage game. I enjoyed it because it helped me remember certain phases of mitosis and meiosis through repetition.

  2. My favorite activity was find the homologs. I enjoyed this activity because sometimes I get sister chromatids and homologous pairs mixed up so it helped me identify the difference and understand the two.

  3. My favorite activity were both of the Snurfle activities. I liked how it explained the topic, let you be a part of the process by moving things around, and then asking you questions to check your understanding. The stages of meiosis can be confusing but I feel like these activities helped me the most to understand the differences between them.

  4. My favorite activity were both Snurfle activities. I liked how it went step by step for each process and quizzed us on the definitions of what each thing is called as you go along the process. It really helped me to understand the process of Mitosis and Meiosis and what happens during “Crossing over”

  5. My favorite activity was the Snurfle activity and the Mitosis order. I liked the Snurfle because it was very cutely animated and explained the topic well. I also liked the Mitosis order because it was simple but informative.

  6. My favorite activity was find the homologs as i was not too familiar with that term and that activity helped me better understand what it meant.

  7. My favorite game was the fill in the blank activity. This activity was challenging for me, but I am a visual learner so placing each word in a blank allowed me to fully understand the processes we are learning about. While pictures enhance my learning, I first have to start by reading the concrete material.

  8. I liked the Mitosis order as well as the Snurfle Meiosis I and II activities because they were most interactive. The explanations along with the game makes it easier to remember things.

  9. I liked the Mitosis Order and fill in the blanks. I thought it was more challenging, but interesting to look at microsocpe images rather than cartoon. I thought the fill in the blanks really tested my knowledge and was good information to know.

  10. I really liked the fill in the blank activity questions. I liked it because it helped me to remember all the phases of meiosis and helped to test my knowledge of the material.

  11. My favorite activity was the fill in the blanks, it was the most helpful/ challenging. It allowed me to see what I recall if you take away the pictures and descriptions.

  12. My favorite activity was the meiosis square dance. It did a good job at explaining the different phases that the chromosomes go through. It was also helpful having the interactive questions throughout the video to check my understanding of what was happening at each phase.

  13. One activity that I really enjoyed was the “Identify the Stage” exercise. It was particularly special to me because it provided a comprehensive overview of all the stages involved in meiosis.

  14. My favorite activity was the meiosis square dance because some of the lines from the song where catchy and I also thought that it was great that there where questions to answer while watching the video

  15. My favorite activity was the snuffle meiosis 1 because it had all the parts to it. Visual representation, interaction, and quiz questions, I feel it helped me get a better understanding and helped put a picture in my head.

  16. My favorite activity would be the simple Meiosis and Mitosis Order activities. It reminds me of high school biology where I had fallen in love with the study of biology. I loved reviewing Mitosis and Meiosis flashcards and studying and cramming before exams. I will be well prepared this time.

  17. My favorite activity was the mitosis order activity. I think it was genuinely cool to see what mitosis actually looks like instead of sketches and diagrams. Reminds me about my love for science!

  18. I think all the activities/games have some type of value in helping learn Mitosis and meiosis. For example, the first 2 ordering games, helps to memorize the order of steps; however, they lack the potential to teach a deeper understanding of cellular functions. Therefore, my favorite games are the Snuffle games because they depict the cellular functions of Mitosis and Meiosis in their near complete detail at a pace that helped me better learn and understand the material.

    1. Sorry for the late reply. I am in a different time zone right now, so I did not realize what time it was EST.

  19. My Favorite activity was fill in the blanks. I liked getting to see accurate diagrams of each stage and trying to determine what stage it was. It helped me understand and see the splitting and determining the difference in stages 1 and 2.
